ASIS International Membership FAQs

1. I want to join ASIS International.

Go to http://www.asisonline.org/store/membership.html.

2. I want to join the ASIS International Houston Chapter.

Go to http://www.asishouston.org/houstonMembership.htm

3. May I join the Houston Chapter without being an ASIS International Member?

No. You must first be an ASIS International member prior to joining the Houston chapter.

4. What are the benefits of being a member of the Houston Chapter?

The Chapter annual dues underwrite various local chapter functions including the Public Safety Liaison & Benevolence Committee.

You also get member discounts or free access to chapter training sessions such as the CPP Annual Review Course, free logon access on the website to CPP and PSP study materials, post job opening for your firm, and $5 off at the monthly luncheons.

2. How do I get 1 hour CEU credit for the TX PSB when I go to the luncheons?

At the end of the monthly luncheon period, stop by the registration desk, sign the attendance sheet and receive a certificate.

1. Where are the luncheons?

2. How may I pay for the luncheons?

You may pay by credit card on the website or at the registration desk at the luncheon. Only cash or check is accepted at the registration desk. Credit cards can only be processed online. To pay by credit card now go to http://www.asishouston.org/SubHome/respage.htm.

Volunteering FAQs

1. How do I join a committee?

Send an e-mail to asis@asishouston.org stating the area you are interested and it will be forwarded to the appropriate committee chair. See the Officers and Directors section for the current list of committees go to http://www.asishouston.org/OfficerCommit2/Board.htm.

1. How do I get a login?

Send an e-mail to asis@asishouston.org and make your request. You must be a Houston Chapter member to get free login access. However if you are not eligible to join the chapter, you may purchase access for $30. Go to http://www.asishouston.org/newstudy.htm.

2. How can I be a website sponsor?

Send an e-mail to asis@asishouston.org. Your sponsorship request will be received by the Website Chair.
