The Young Professionals' (YP) Committee was established as an opportunity to engage new security careerists and create a forum for the industry's future leaders to network and learn of the benefits available through the American Society of Industrialized Security (ASIS) Houston chapter. Membership typically includes someone who is less than 40 years of age or who has less than five years operational experience in the security profession. Yet, participation is encouraged from all those passionate about developing Houston's future leaders within the security profession.
The YP Committee is specifically designed to attract local security practitioners interested in exchanging ideas, leadership, academic and networking opportunities with fellow young professionals. Mentorship opportunities with more experienced chapter members through social gatherings is on the horizon.
