for Scholarships to University of Houston Downtown Department of Criminal Justice

Dr. Beth Pelz, PhD, Chair of the UHD Criminal Justice Department, formally acknowledged receipt of the Scholarship check and thanked the Chapter for its generosity. At right is the Houston Chapter Vice-Chairman, Mike Crocker and at left is Houston Chapter Chairman, Mike Mason.

The scholarship is awarded to one member of each of the eight (8) graduating classes each year. The ASIS/Herbert Wayne Johnson Memorial Scholarship award is $500 presented eight times a year for a total scholarship of $4,000. ASIS Int. Houston Chapter also funds additional scholarships of $3,000 per year for a total of $7,000 per year.
